If I can express an opinion here, this is my favorite Boulder neighborhood. Relatively close to downtown, but with all of the great outdoors and cultural opportunities right around the corner at The Colorado Chautauqua, a designated – and beloved – National Landmark.
Chautauqua is more than just that iconic park at the base of Boulder’s most famous rock structures. It’s also the gorgeous sprawling neighborhood surrounding the historic park.
Chautauqua is one of the oldest neighborhoods in town, provides ample views of the Flatirons, and is within walking distance of all of the amenities of the Colorado Chautauqua. The area overlaps with University Hill, and the rule of thumb is that the closer you get to the mountains the fewer students you will find and the nicer homes you will find. And some of those ‘nicer homes’ will take your breath away. (As will a hike up towards those Flatirons).
A side note – homes move fast in this area, and often before they are listed. So you won’t see many homes on MLS, especially in the peak selling months.
